Dr. Juan A. Lƒ³pez Corvalá has been specifically chosen as proctor for the past 10 years by ALLERGAN, which is part of Lap Band manufacturing company INAMED Health, and is in charge of teaching and assisting US weight loss surgeons who are training in the Gastric Lap Band procedure.
Angeles Health in Tijuana is also the first hospital in the Angeles hospital network that is scheduled to receive its JCI Accreditation.
JCI is the international division of Joint Commission Resources, a non-profit organization that develops standards and resources for hospitals to better their care quality and patient safety. JCI is a part of the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre, an initiative that is dedicated to identifying patient safety solutions.
