Breast Lift Surgery in Tijuana, Mexico

Two Surgical Techniques. One Personalized Approach.
The Anchor Technique Best suited for patients with larger breasts or more significant sagging. The surgeon removes excess skin and tissue using incisions that follow a keyhole and anchor shape, allowing for a more dramatic lift and repositioning of the nipple and areola. This technique delivers the most comprehensive reshaping results.
The Concentric Technique (Donut Mastopexy) Ideal for patients with smaller breasts and mild to moderate sagging. Incisions are made in two concentric circles around the areola, resulting in less scarring and a shorter recovery. In some cases, this technique can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation rather than general anesthesia.

What is the difference between a breast lift with and without implants, and how do I know which option is right for me?
A breast lift alone, mastopexy, raises and reshapes the breast using your existing tissue, correcting sagging and repositioning the nipple without adding volume. This is the right choice for patients who are happy with their breast size but want a firmer, more youthful profile. Adding implants to the lift addresses both position and volume simultaneously, ideal for patients who have lost fullness due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight loss and want to restore a more complete shape. During your consultation, Dr. Medina will assess your breast tissue, skin elasticity, and aesthetic goals to recommend the approach that achieves the most natural, balanced result for your body.
Will a breast lift leave visible scars, and how long do they take to fade?
All breast lift techniques involve incisions, and scarring is a natural part of the healing process, but the visibility and location of scars depend heavily on the technique used. The Concentric (Donut) technique leaves a single circular scar around the areola, which is the least visible option and tends to fade well over time. The Anchor technique involves more extensive incisions but is necessary for patients who require a more significant lift, the resulting scars follow the natural contours of the breast and become significantly less visible within 12 to 18 months with proper post-op care. Dr. Medina will discuss scar placement and management during your consultation, and our team will provide detailed post-operative instructions to support optimal healing.
What does recovery look like, and when can I return to normal activity?
Most patients experience soreness, swelling, and some numbness in the nipple area during the first few days after surgery, this is completely normal and managed with medication prescribed by our team. You will be asked to wear a surgical bra or elastic bandage over gauze dressings immediately after the procedure to support healing. Stitches are typically removed within 1 to 2 weeks, and most patients feel comfortable returning to light work within that same window. Day-to-day and physical activities can generally resume after one month. Your AngelesHealth case manager will provide a personalized recovery timeline before you travel, and our medical team remains available for follow-up coordination once you return home.
