Some of his past positions in Mexico include chairmanship with the College of Ophthalmology and the position of President of the Council of Ophthalmology in Baja California. He also has experience as a Professor of Ocular Physiology and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Carpio also served as Scientific Advisor to Advanced Cornel System USA and as Vice President of International Affairs of Vitreo Retinal Technologies.
In terms of education Dr. Carpio graduated from the Hospital Nuestra Señora de La Luz. He has numerous professional certifications including membership with Sharp Healthcare International Institute located in San Diego and membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Carpio is a founding member of the Mexican Society of Intraocular Lenses and Refractive Surgery.
Dr Mario Vergara
Dr. Vergara brings nine years of experience and education to help better serve his patients. He is an honors graduate of Autonomous University of Baja California in Tijuana. He furthered his education by specializing in Ophthalmology at Hermosillo General Hospital in Sonora, Mexico and acquired training in the field of glaucoma and cataract surgery in Mexico City. Dr. Vergara has memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Mexican Society of Ophthalmology, and the Mexican Society of Glaucoma.
