Carlos Zavala Ruiz- COO

Mr. Zavala has more than 16 years of experience in the healthcare field in Mexico. Coming from a family of doctors, Mr. Zavala started in the cross border healthcare business 14 years ago as a consultant to a TPA who after 1.5 years made him Vice-President of Operations, running offices in Tijuana, Monterrey, Mexico and Guadalajara. In 2004 he joined Hospital Angeles Tijuana, part of Grupo Angeles Servicios de Salud, the largest private hospital organization in Mexico, with over 23 Hospital across the country.

He had the position of Director of Business Development until in 2010 he became Chief Operating Officer of Angeles Health International, Grupo Angeles Medical Travel Division in the U.S., where one of his main goals is to offer the services of Grupo Angeles hospital and its medical network to the major healthcare carriers in the U.S. (HMO’s, Insurance Companies, TPA’s) and Medical Tourism companies.
