About Dr. Lopez Corvala
Dr. Lopez Corvala is considered to be among the top ten weight-loss
surgeons in the world. He has performed more than 5,000 laparoscopic
surgeries, 1,500 of those gastric band surgeries. He currently is a
staff member at Hospital Angeles, Tijuana.
Dr. Lopez Corvala's extensive training includes completion of medical
school at LaSalle University in Mexico City with a specialty in General
Surgery. He is a Proctor for INAMED, and is in charge of teaching and
assisting U.S. surgeons who are training to do gastric band surgery. Dr.
Lopez Corvala has taught as a Professor of Obesity Surgery in the United
States, Europe and Latin America, and has published numerous articles on
laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Lopez Corvala speaks Spanish and English.
