Dr. Gabriel Carpio is a graduate of Hospital Nuestra Señora de La Luz. He has a sub-specialty in Cornea and Refractive Surgery from the Institute of Ambulatory Surgery.

Dr. Carpio is currently on staff at the Vision Center at Hospital Angeles Tijuana. Additional experience includes:

• Chief Resident Eye surgeon at Nuestra Señora de La Luz Hospital in Mexico City (1986).
• Professor of Ocular Physiology and Clinical Pathology at the School of Optometry at the University of Xochicalco (1991-1994 ).
• Chairman of the College of Ophthalmology of Baja California (1997-1998).
• President of the Council of Ophthalmology Baja California(1998-1999).
• Served as Scientific Advisor to Advanced Cornel System USA (1993-2000).
• Vice President of International Affairs of Vitreo Retinal Technologies USA (2000-2004).
